Pahoia Creative Fibre
October 25 @ 9:00 am - November 7 @ 2:00 pm
“Take fibres of all types, from wool, alpaca, or silk through cotton, flax, or hemp, to polymers, tinsels and metals; add imagination, insight, and skills to transform them into crafted works of art and you’ll have the items on show at Creative Fibre’s Pahoia Display.
More than 50 items have been submitted for the display from Creative Fibre members from Tauranga to Athenree. They represent creative output from our members in spun yarn, clothing, accessories, furnishings, and art works. All items are for sale – so you can take advantage of the Display to enhance the look and feel of your own wardrobe or home, or perhaps stock up with Christmas presents.
Creative Fibre is a nationwide group of professional and amateur fibre crafters. It includes spinners, dyers, weavers, knitters, felters, crocheters, flax workers and free form fibre artists. Members are committed to constantly improving their skills and expanding their creativity, and they’ll be on hand at various times during the Display with fibres and equipment to help you should you want to try your hand at spinning, weaving, knitting or crochet.
The Pahoia branch covers Western Bay of Plenty, north of Tauranga. We meet fortnightly on a Tuesday morning at the Old Settlers Hall in Omokoroa and welcome all those with an interest in fibre creations.”
